Disappointment Shows How Far We’ve Come

Jay Rodriguez has said that the dressing room’s disappointment at not beating Sunderland today, shows how fans Southampton have come.

Speaking to saintsfc the striker said that everybody in the dressing room was disappointed to not have taken all three points today, but he feels that shows just how far the team have come.

‘I think it was frustrating towards the end because we created enough chances to get the three points and we’re obviously disappointed not to get the three points, but in the same breath, I think it’s a good point as well. They went one up as we gave an early goal away and they defended very well, but we created chances and should have scored.’
