Andy Crosby has said the Sheffield Wednesday visit will be the perfect opportunity for some squad rotation, but we are looking to progress in the Capital One Cup this season.
Speaking to saintsfc ahead of the game, Crosby said.
‘It’s a competition that we’re taking very seriously, it’s a pathway to a major competition and a major trophy. Over the last few years, we have blooded a lot of young players, so we’ll continue to do that. There’s competition for places so there’s a chance for others to come in and stake a claim.’
