Talking to the Saints Player nigel said that the team aalways believed that they could and would score.

‘we dominated the game in terms of possession, but great credit to Shrewsbury – They’re a good side and you can see why they’re at the top of the division they’re in,’ he said.

Shrewsbury played with a calmness that made it frustrating for us but Nigel was plesed with the way the team kept playing as he wanted.

‘We had a game plan to keep passing the ball about, to get it wide and create opportunities and I think we’ve done that though there are things we can work on.’

He went on to praise the supporters as well for keeping the belief as the time began to run out.

We could hear the fans cheering and supporting the players which is always a help and in the end we got the desired win.

David Connolly came on and scored the opener which delighted the gaffer as he said that he had given the player just one instruction. Go and score a goal.

Nigel is also pleased that the team had another win under it’s belt as that is an excellent habit to make.

He wants the team to play with open attacking football and is demanding a lot from the players but they are responding to him.

Quick passing and good movement is his main aim and the teamm is learning game by game to play his way which is good on the eye and is bringing us the desired results.

Long may it continue.
