Danny Higginbotham is the latest former Saint to come up against Southampton in recent months.
Higginbotham joined Stoke in the summer for £250,000 and he told the Echo: ‘If we win the game we’re only two points behind Southampton.
‘It’s a big game for us because in recent weeks we’ve dropped points where we shouldn’t have done which is frustrating because when we’re playing to our capabilities we’re capable of beating anyone.’
