Plymouth Argyle boss Ian Holloway could be facing an FA charge over comments he allegedly made after the 1-1 draw with Southampton about the FA Chief Executive Sepp Blatter.

He is reported to have said “Sepp Blatter: you are an idiot Put the rules back to what they should be. He is a complete lunatic’

Holloway was left angry following an incident in the second half of the Saint`s game when Plymouth had a goal ruled out for offside, he blamed Blatter by claming the new interpretations of the rules cost his side a vital 3 points against the Championship high flyers.

The FA have written to the pilgrims asking Holloway to explain his comments but if he is found guilty of the charges against him he could face a fine or ban
