How Lowe Can You Go?

Southamton Chairman Rupert Lowe has seen his libel hearing at London’s High Court adjourned until Thursday because a juror fell ill.

Mr Lowe is suing the Times Newspapers Ltd for suggesting he acted ‘shabbily’ by suspending a manager, who faced child abuse charges, in January 2000.

The article that offended Lowe was published in August 2004. The Times Newspapers Ltd have denied libel and claim ‘justification and fair comment’.
