Coming back to us after a poor spell at QPR Jason had a heart to heart meeting and a disciplinary with chairman Nicola Cortese.
This led to his being re-installed in the squad and since then he has appeared to be a changed man. No more sulking and plenty of effort has begun to turn our feelings towards him around.
Though still early days it does appear that he could be our answer to the shortage of quality wingers. He has done well on the pitch and all reports on him that have come from the club have been positive.
Today we see his interview for the match programme and he comes out of it well.
He says, ‘I have a lot of great friends in the Southampton dressing room – people I have a lot of respect for. To be a part of it again is just great – a big relief to me personally. And after months of doubt I am excited again about the future.’
He goes on to speak well of the players and the club and makes a lot of excellent comments.
