Southampton youngster Adam Lallana hopes to make his England under 21 bow tonight against Wales.

The 20-year-old is in the squad for the 1st leg of the European Championship play-off fixture against Wales and if he gets any time on the pitch he will be delighted: ‘There’s a lot of really good established Premier League players in the squad,’ Lallana told BBC Radio Solent. ‘If I get a few minutes it will just be a great experience and another step on in my career, so I’m really happy.’

His club teammate Lloyd James could be an opponent if he plays as he is in the Welsh squad.
