Rickie Lambert has said he was pleased to see out the final match of the season by finding the net again, as overall, he feels our first season back in the Premiership has been a success.

Speaking to saintsfc after the season came to a close following the Stoke game, our leading scorer said.

‘I am proud, every goal means a lot. Playing in the Premier League has been a highlight, and I’ve been playing against top players in every game so I’ve been lucky enough to score against them. It’s been a good season for me personally, and for the boys it’s been superb.’

Lambert not only finishes as Saints leading scorer on 15 goals, he also finishes as joint highest English goalscorer in the Premiership.
