This isn’t a Celebrity Deathmatch event, Le Tiss has said he would be happy to talk to Nicola Cortese in an effort to solve their problems…with witnesses.
The Mirror carry quotes from our outspoken legend who had another pop at Cortese following the sacking of Nigel Adkins, which in turn saw Cortese accuse MLT of ‘damaging the club’ with his negative remarks.
‘I don’t even know him, he’s never met me. Anyone in the past who is associated with the club is stirring negativity towards me should probably ask if it’s beneficial for the club. I would not allow myself to judge someone I have never met,’ said Cortese.
To which Le Tiss responded.
‘I would be more than happy to sit down with Mr Cortese and some witnesses, season ticket holders. I would like to meet him and discuss our differences. I must be honest, a lot of what was said made sense, but still not thanks to Nigel. That is disrespectful. Oh, and the blatant lies when speaking about me! I have met him and he has criticised me in the past, accused me of taking free tickets. And if old players are welcome why is Francis Benali banned? And why when I am invited into a corporate box are two security guards placed outside to stop me going anywhere else apart from the toilet?’
Could there be a better example of not conducting this via the press? Exactly who is winning?
Not the club that’s for sure.
