Manchester United gaffer Jose Mourinho had a few words with Manolo Gabbiadini when the Saints ace was substituted.
The pair shook hands with the score at 2-2 at that stage and the Manchester Evening News reports that Mourinho told Gabbiadini ‘You did a great job, you scored two goals of a real champion’
Further to that United’s boss described Gabbiadini’s equaliser, a super half-volley on the turn, as ‘phenomenal’.
So a bit of a love-in between two ‘special ones’ !
Gabbiadini is also on record (see Gazzetta dello Sport as saying ‘When a character like Mourinho comes at you, shakes your hand and says, ‘You did a great job, you scored two goals of a real champion`, you feel something special,’
Is this a bit of buttering up for when Zlatan hangs up his boots I wonder?
Vital Saints say that the Saints should cash in now…. £25 million…oh, and throw in Wayne Rooney and we have a deal!

(Just speculation but anyone reckon a deal at the end of the season for Gabbiadini involving Rooney plus cash would still be a bad idea? Please comment below and share your thoughts)
