In Premiership games played at Newcastle the Geordies have won seven and drawn one of the last eight meetings. A goal difference of 21 goals to 5 also highlights the clear advantage that the Geordies hold over the Saints.
The last win by Saints was in the 1996/7 season and was the last time we
held the Toon Army at bay and kept a clean sheet.
The overall record at St James’s Park is nothing to write home about either for the Saints. Newcastle winning 28, drawing 5 and only tasting defeat to Saints on 4 occasions.
As I say not a nice statistic from our point of view but one which we can improve on with a good display on Saturday.
