Talking to the Saints Player he said that ‘we all want to get a result. There is a phrase, that pressure makes diamonds, and I want these players to be the best jewels and diamonds that you can find.’

That is definitely a wish that all Saints fans can go along with.

Continuing Nigel said that he knows we need to win a game of football, but that it is how we win that matters. He went on to explain how he wanted to break everything down to little bits so that the players were not worrying about the overall picture.

He hopes to teach the players to think about their next move after every action rather than worry about how long since we won or scored.

If you break everything into little parts you simplify the whole game he explained. Each action has a consequence and we need to learn how to do all we need to to break teams down.

We need to work out how we will defend set pieces. How we cover each other. How we move the ball forward and how we make chances. Finally how to put the ball into the back of the net.

As a fan I hope that the team learns pretty quickly because it would be nice if we can score a goal or two on Saturday and also keep a clean sheet.
