2 of the ‘bigger’ teams in the Championship played out a relegation 6 pointer infront of the smallest ever crowd at St.Mary’s for a first team league game.

Leicester named former Saints Matthew Oakley in their starting team. Steven Howard lead the line for the foxes.

McGoldrick started for Saints and Andrew Surman was recalled to the starting line-up. Poke started in goal.

An even first half saw the sides go in at 0-0.

Saints took the lead on 75 minutes. The ball broke to Stern John after a flick on and he burried the ball to send St.Mary’s mental.

Saints saw the game out and won 1-0. A massive 3 points for Nigel Pearson!
