A full month has passed since Southampton last played Premiership football, and Mauricio Pochettino has admitted he hasn’t quite had a holiday since then.
Next season’s fixtures are released tomorrow, and Southampton have already completed the four year signing of Dejan Lovren, and Poch told saintsfc that recruitment was only one part of his agenda over the past month.
‘It’s a very important time, it’s no holiday. This is a time to work hard because we’re setting the objectives for next season. We work all day for the future of the club and for next season.’
Pochettino also said that the fixture list didn’t concern him because we know the teams we will face and what we have to do ourselves, so the order they come in is irrelevant to him at this stage of his plans.
