SOUTHAMPTON midfielder David Prutton is set to open contract talks with Phil Brown’s Hull City.
The Saints agreed a fee of around £250,000 for the midfielder and now contract talks can begin. Brown talking to the Hull Daily Mail said: ‘The second bid that we made has been accepted by Southampton, which gives us a license to talk to him, but as I said to the chairman last week, I want to take my focus off the transfer market and put it on the players who are doing the business for us now.’
