Assistant First Team Coach Dean Gorre takes charge of his second reserve game this evening, as Saints face Crystal Palace at Staplewood.

The Dutchman has opted to replicate the first team’s winning formation to ensure that the fixture proves to be a useful workout for those on the fringe of Mark Wotte’s side.

Saints only have one injury concern, with Anthony Pulis struggling with a minor foot injury, whilst French duo Morgan Schneiderlin and Romain Gasmi look set to feature in a strong line-up.

Gorre said, “Basically I am expecting the same performance as the first team and we will play the same formation and in the same style.

“Crystal Palace will be much stronger opposition than we faced last week, but we will also be putting out a strong side so it should be a good match.

“The result will take second place to the performance and the football, but if those two factors go well there’s no reason we can’t pick up another victory.”

Saints Reserves from: Forecast, Imudia, Liptak, Lancashire, Marsh-Brown (trialist), Davies, Molyneux, Gasmi, Schneiderlin, Paterson, Smith, Pernecky, Boyle, Dunford, Hatch, McNish.
