Saints gaffer George Burley has confirmed previous Vital Saints reports that Southampton hold an option to buy Marek Saganowski.
When Saganowski joined Southampton on loan from Troyes, Vital Saints reported that a £1 million buy option was included in the deal.
The figures have never been confirmed by Southampton and could prove to be very wide of the mark! However Burley today has admitted that some form of buy option is in play.
He told the official site: ‘We have the option to keep Marek who has done extremely well for us since he has been here.
We are very keen to keep him but we have to wait and see what happens at the end of the season because there are so many different permutations.
‘Right now all we are thinking about is tomorrow’s game at Norwich and getting three points to get us back into the top six.’
