It’s being reported that Southampton are still chasing former Pochettino charge Joan Verdu and it’s expected he will announce his plans this coming Thursday.
We have been linked with him previously because of his ties with Mauricio Pochettino, and the media are saying that he will leave Espanyol this summer and Southampton and Atletico Madrid are the front runners for his signature.
His current contract expires at the end of the month and no progress has been made on extending his contract.
We’ll know tomorrow I presume.
