Maya Yoshida played the full 90 minutes for Japan as they beat Latvia 3-0 in a friendly in Kobe this afternoon. It was a friendly warm-up for the game next month when they play Jordan. A victory would see them clinch a fifth straight World Cup Finals place.
Vegard Forren played in the second half of Norway’s game against Ukraine. Down 2-0 at half time Norway were unable to pull back the goals though Forren did have one drive saved by the keeper.
Hopefully both players will return in fine fettle for our little game against Man City.
