Calum Chambers has become the latest product of the Saints Academy to sign a long-term contract, the Club is delighted to announce.

Calum has just returned from what seems to have been a very successful pre season tour with the first team. Upon his return he has agreed a new four year contract.

His decision to commit his future to the Club follows those made by Luke Shaw, Lloyd Isgrove, Jordan Turnbull, Jack Stephens and James Ward-Prowse, all of whom have signed new contracts during the past 12 months.

The youngster will now be hoping to challenge for time on the pitch with the first team on a regular basis. If he can force his way into the team he could well be joining the likes of James Ward-Prowse and Luke Shaw.

In an interview on the Saints OS Calum said, ‘It’s fantastic, it’s like my dream, really. I’ve been at the Club since I was so young, so this is a great feeling. I’ve been here since I was seven and I’ve been treated really well so it means the world.’

Trust us Calum it means a lot to us to see you youngsters coming through with a great chance of making the grade. To see the article on the Saints site click here
