Southampton have beaten off competition for the youngster and have signed him for a one off fee of £150,000.

Hopefully this money will help Plymouth in their fight for survival while they wait for a buyer to get the club back on track.

The 17 year old has been courted by several Premier League clubs and he had visited Fulham but turned them down.

He chose Southampton as he feels it is the best place for him to continue his development.

This is further acknowledgement of the way that our Academy is regarded outside of the club and bodes well for it’s future.

Jack has signed for three years which is the maximum contract allowed under FIFA regulations as it is his first professional contract coming out of scholarship.

Jack will join the development squad to begin with and will play with Jason Dodd’s Under 18 squad as he is not eligible to play for the first team until next season.

Welcome to the club Jack and as always we hope that you enjoy your time with our great club.
