The national rag ‘The SUN’ today covered the story of a brawl between some ‘scousers’ and the pubs locals.

Rickie was in the pub with family and friends. The group included his parents who had travelled down from Liverpool to be with their son during the festival holiday.

It appears that the brawl began with locals making quips about the amount of lager that Rickie was drinking, and the likelihood that he would now be out for six months because of the amount.

His brother-in-law was punched and bleeding, whilst his father was knocked down.

The landlady of the Baddesley Arms, Dee Fleming, said that the group had been celebrating the team’s win over Crystal Palace earlier in the day.

Rickie wasn’t personally involved in the fighting and was seen trying to get his family out of the pub for safety. The police were called but no further action is to take place.

For me it seems wrong when a man can’t use his local in safety. Do all of our football players have to stay in to avoid trouble, or are they only allowed to go to specially selected venues?

Why can’t our players unwind without the fear of being set upon by jealous small minded people?
