In a closely fought game the main excitement happened after the 65th minute sending off of Reading’s Uche Ikpeazu for an off the ball incident.
The 70th minute saw Saints give away a penalty when Bevis Mugabi fouled a Reading forward inside the area. Tarique Fosu-Henry`s effort sending Will Britt the wrong way.
Then on 73 minutes a break down the right side saw Seager take over possession inside the area to finish low under the on rushing ‘keeper, with the ball trickling over the line for 1-1.
Jason Dodd’s young side had the best of the remaining game but could not break through.
