Sam Hoskins opened the scoring for Saints on 24 minutes and Saints grew in stature as the game continued.

The blustery conditions were easily dealt with and the team proved far to strong for their opponents as they swept them aside with some breathtaking, at times, football.

With defender Lloyd Foot adding a second before the break the youngsters went into the break with a fully deserved lead.

Saints continued to dominate in the second half and it was no surprise when they added a third.

A smart free-kick by Foot to Ward-Prowse saw the youngster released in the box only to have him hauled down. Sam Hoskins steppied up and coolly slotted the penalty home for his second.

Soon after the Saints made it four when a palace defender appeared to turn the ball into his own net from an Isgrove cross. Callum Chambers did lay claim to it so may have also got a touch.

Just before the end Palace managed to pull one back which was disappointing as the goal was partly down to over confidence and sloppy defending.

All in all another good win and performance from Jason Dodd’s young team.
