Seagulls v Saints

Brighton have won the race to be Champions though I believe they will say it wasn’t much of a race being so far ahead of second team and this week’s opponents Southampton.

Unbeaten at home in the league this season and they will be very keen to maintain that status. They are also after more points to get past the magic 100 points for the season.

Southampton are second on goal difference and will be desperate not to lose as they search for the points that will help them to stay in second place.

Both sides like to play football and have good managers and this game could go any of three ways being so hard to call.

Vital Quotes:

Brighton Team News:

Skipper Gordon Greer will miss this game as the third of his four match ban after getting his second red card.

ommy Elphick should keep his place.Jim McNulty is out for the season.

Player to watch: Inigo Calderon

Saints very nearly snatched Calderon last summer but he decided to stay put and has had a magnificent game in defence and has chipped in with a few goals.

Southampton Team News:

Adam Lallana is hoping to be able to play as will Richard Chaplow.

ee Barnard is unlikely to play a part.

Player to watch: Jose Fonte

Jose will be under intense pressure this week as champions Brighton try to keep their unbeaten home run going. He will need to stay fully focused for the whole game if Saints are to get anything from the game.
