With Southampton not playing this weekend, attentions fell to Southampton fans second favourite team, Portsmouth’s opponents!
On this occasion that was Chelski and as predicted former Southampton boss Harry Redknapp didn’t enjoy a happy birthday.
Redknapp was celebrating his 60th birthday with the news that all FA charges regarding the alleged betting scandal surrounding his move from Southampton to Portsmouth had been dropped.
Just as well he had received his present as he was never going to receive another one from Mourinho’s Chelsea, who brushed poor old Pompey aside with a 2-0 win.
The result leaves Portsmouth with only one win in 2007.
