Alex followed Adam and played for the England Under 21’s last week and showed that the step up in level held little fear for him.

Mixing as he did with regular premier league players Alex showed his talent and was easily able to show his quality with the older players.

On Saints OS Lallana said, ‘The lad’s seventeen and he was mixing it with lads who are playing every week in the premiership. From what I’ve heard he easily held his own and showed what he’s capable of.’

Adam continued by saying that it was only a matter of time before he played regularly at that level.

He also said that Alex had made the right decision when staying with the club in January. He even went on to say that it was a mature decision as he would learn more playing week in week out.

Talking about Rickie Lambert Adam said how well he has done in such a short time at the club. To score 50 goals so quickly is an immense statistic.

He is really phenominal in the box and now that Rickie has started to find the net it is hoped that he gets on a run which can do nothing but help the club.

Hearing Adam so upbeat after his injury hit season is quite warming and shows that the mood in the camp is good.
