The U18’s began brightly and took the lead as early as the 7th minute with Jake Sinclair scoring from 10 yards after some good footwork.

In the 25th minute Sinclair finds Calum Chambers who shoots high into the net top make it 2-0.

With Saints running riot Joe Curtis rises in the box but heads narrowly wide of the mark. Just a lull though as the pressure tells.

On 38 minutes Saints win a corner which leads to Jordan Turnbull netting home from the edge of the six yard box.

Still the Saints’ youngsters kept attacking and on 41 minutes Sam McQueen nets from close in to make it four as the first half closes.

The second half starts with the youngsters still dominating. Straight from the kick-off Saints attack and Sinclair nets his second and the teams fifth.

Five minutes later and Saints manage to hit another with Joe Curtis netting from just outside the box to make it six.

Even with the game safely won the youngsters continued to push forward. James Ward-Prowse comes close but sees his effort blocked leading to a corner.

Matt Young and Corby Moore are then replaced with Fraser Colmer and Dominic Gape, giving them a run out.

Ward-Prowse then unleashes a screamer from 25yards to notch the seventh goal of the night for rampant Saints. Foddy and inal and best goal of the night.

Well done Doddy. Now let’s have some of the same on Sunday.
