SOUTHAMPTON manager George Burley still firmly believes that Theo Walcott should have stayed at Southampton.
Walcott left the Saints a year ago and joined Arsenal.
Since his move to Arsenal, Walcott has only made 6 starts whilst also making 16 appearances from the bench.
If he had remained at SMS, he would have been a certain starter and his progess and experience would have improved.
Burley told the official site: ‘I have not changed my opinion on Theo, you can’t beat playing regularly for your development.
At bigger clubs it is harder to get in the team which is understandable.’
