Wolverhampton Wanderers lead the hunt for Southampton starlet Andrew Surman.
Southampton are set to lose Surman following their financial troubles and relegation to League One.
The Premier League new boys have had a bid excepted for the 22 year old and Surman is expected to hold talks with Wolves later this week.
The England Under-21 international has generated a lot of interested from other clubs, but McCarthy wants to make sure that he joins his side at Molineux for next season in the top flight.
