Both Yeovil and Saints have had a poor run of results recently. Saints managed to end their barren spell with a 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday in a better performance and seem to be coming out of their poor run.

Yeovil though have lost their last two games. Huddersfield away is a game that most teams will lose, though the Glovers put in a better display than the bare form suggests, having led 2-0 at one time before conceding 4 goals. Their loss to Exeter at home on Saturday was also to a team that is doing well. The one worry for them will be the fact that they let in 7 goals in the two games.

For Saints the problem has not been the goals let in but the lack of goals scored. Against Wednesday we finally saw a goal and an added plus was that it came from open play.

Vital Quotes:

Yeovil Town Team News:

Jose Fonte is a possible returnee after missing the Wednesday game and Adam Lallana could also be kept on the bench as he fights to get fit again. Martin is also a possible addition to the matchday squad.

Player to watch: Rickie Lambert

Sooner or later Rickie is going to find a keeper that doesn’t perform a brilliant save to keep him at bay.

Southampton Team News:

Goalie Stephen Henderson is likely to remain in goal and Owain Tudur-Jones could also stay in the team after extending his loan from Norwich. Arsenal loanie Luke Freeman could be in line for a place if Glovers boss Terry Skiverton rings the changes.

Player to watch: Dean Bowditch

Can score from distance and close in and could be a danger to the Saints defence.

Match Facts & Stats

Saints have only met the Glovers three times in total so far. With three wins to date they will be hoping for more of the same. Last season we won our only ever game at Huish Park 1-0 which would do nicely though I hope to see us score another one or two as we warm up for Bournemouth.

Ref Watch:

Mr Simon Hooper officiates.

Mr P Rees and Mr M Russell assist.

4th official is Mr B Huxtable.

Match Prediction:

Hopefully our atrocious run has come to an end and we can start to consolidate.
I will go for 0-2
