Saints gaffer George Burley believes the next 3 games will shape Southampton’s season.

Speaking to the Echo Burley said: ‘These are three key games coming up for us now against Barnsley, Coventry and Ipswich.

‘We feel a wee bit disappointed and aggrieved to get only one point from the games against Derby and West Brom.

‘Both games we could have picked up three points but haven’t.

‘And that’s made it even more important that we try and pick up a maximum nine points out of the next three games to keep us right up there.

‘To be fair, I don’t think we’ve seen anybody in this league to fear.
