Nigel Adkins has said the players are going to get a change of scenary as we prepare for Swansea this weekend.

Speaking to saintsfc Adkins said the players would be spending some time away from Staplewood, as he wanted to freshen up our routine in the hopes of sparking a win.

‘We’ve got players coming back to fitness and we’re going to take the guys away for a couple of days. We’ll change things around a little bit and change the stimulus, which I think is important because it can become a bit of a ‘groundhog day’.

Adkins said he had always planned to do this after the first 10 games to freshen things up, but it’s more important than ever given our recent run of results.

‘We’ve got to start getting points on the board and having the winning mentality that we’ve had for the last few years. We’ve just had ten games, so we’ve assessed where we are and we’ll keep moving forward.’

Even turning some losses into draws would be a confidence boost, but a win now could really lift spirits and set us up nicely moving forward.
