Young Liverpool winger Adam Hammill is being targeted by George Burley on loan, reports Sky Sports.
However Saints are thought to be battling with a whole host of Championship sides, Premiership new boys Birmingham City and Old Firm pair Celtic and Rangers for the Reds’ prodigy.
Last season the 19 year old impressed during a loan spell in the SPL with relegated Dunfermline and for the England U19`s.
He would be the third Liverpool midfield loanee to join Saints in the last 3 seasons, following Danny Potter and Danny Guthrie.
