With the confirmation of Southampton’s capture of former Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn earlier in the week, his introductions continued on Thursday as the club’s media department put together a short video of behind the scenes footage of the day he signed on at our Staplewood training centre – well, Campus to be precise.
It won’t take long before you’ll notice and get the point of this piece. He looks like he’s a giant who would tower over Peter Crouch. I’m not sure what makes it funnier, the height of the other people in the video or the fact I can’t stop imagining the bushes in the background as being a kind of mini Sherwood Forest in his presence.
I clearly wasn’t the only one to see the humorous side of this when it was posted up to the clubs’ official Twitter feed as plenty got involved in a broadly, if not identical manner.
