Jay Rod Looking For Revenge

Jay Rodriguez has said that Southampton will be out for some revenge against West Ham because of what happened earlier in the season.

Speaking to saintsfc ahead of the game, Rodriguez admitted it went wrong for Saints the last time we faced off against them, but everybody is determined to put that right tomorrow.

‘We didn’t play well that day and it all went wrong really. You don’t like to be beaten, so hopefully we can put that right. We treat every game the same, so we know we’ll have to work hard to get a result. With the way we’ve been working and with how we’ve done over the last few months, I don’t think it’s a surprise that we are now achieving what we wanted to.’

As is a common theme at the moment with where we sit in the table, Rodriguez admits that it’s a pretty sight at the moment, but he knows things are still tight at the bottom of the league and nobody can get carried away, or take their foot off the pedal now.

As for his own improved form of late, he very sensibly adds.

‘You can’t rest of what you’ve done because you’re always judged on your last game. If you work as hard as you can to improve, hopefully the hard work will show.’
