Adam Lallana has received praise from manager Jan Poortvliet.
The 20-year-old, who has scored twice in 10 matches this season, has been praised for his fighting spirit to go with his actual playing ability: ‘It’s a shame for a lot of players that Adam, with all his technical skills, is also the player with the most heart to win,’ Poortvliet told BBC Radio Solent.
Southampton rejected a summer bid from Premier League outfit Fulham for Lallana, with it also reported that Spurs have shown an interest, something that has been denied.
