Saturday brings Leeds United to town. Two teams that are scoring goals for fun, meet at SMS. For Saints there is Lambert and Barnard. For Leeds there is Beckford and Becchio.
Lambet is a target man and he is giving Barnard some very good chances and takes a lot of our free kicks. Barnard is quickly forging a good partnership with Lambert and has started scoring regularly.
Beckford is a different type of player. He may do less of the work but he is ultra quick and plays of the shoulder of his defender. Becchio strikes me as being the grafter of the partnership.
Neither team seems to have a real midfield general so we could see a few goals as the defences have to concentrate for the whole game. Any lapses could very quickly be punished.
Both sides are playing well at the moment. Saints at home and the Whites everywhere. They seem to be coming out of their dip in form just in time for the final push.
Who is going to win? I am finding this a very hard game to call. Goals are expected and I am leaning towards a high scoring draw or narrow home win.
