Pardew In A Rage

The feelings of rage were stiffened by the referee’s decision to award a very dubious penalty to Tranmere. Then the rage nearly turned into fury after an even more obvious claim by us was turned down by the referee,

Peter Quinn had left Pardew feeling frustrated long before these two late incidents. He had been so disappointed with the performance of the official that he had visited him at half time. The second half just seemed to carry on in exactly the same manner.

Pardew said that he knew that the referee had lost it because of the number of hopeless decisions that were made. So many mistakes were made and even after the penalty which cost us so dear the referee seemed unable to give satisfactory decisions.

‘You know when the referee’s lost it a bit when he starts giving decisions that are completely wrong’ Alan went on, ‘I spoke to him at half time because I was disappointed by his performance in the first half. The teanm put in a good effort and didn’t get their reward. I don’t really won’t to add any more than that’ he added finally.

Pardew had to be quite restrained and careful when answering questions because of the risk of being put on report to the Football League for overstaing his case. Suffice it to say that the general concensus of opinion with regard to the above named official is not one of praise.

Cheat, Crook, Thief, Dishonest and Incompetent sre just some of the words used to describe Peter Quinn after this game.
