Permanent Move For Chaplow?

Millwall chief executive Andy Ambler has suggested that manager Kenny Jackett may have one eye on a permanent deal for Richard Chaplow after his loan to the club.

Speaking to reporters after the 28 year old made his debut for Millwall, Ambler said.

‘He’s one for the future in the sense that Kenny likes to sign players on loan he thinks he has a chance of getting. When Kenny signs a player like Chaplow he’s thinking there might be a contract up for grabs if they show something.’

Again with those loan players out at the moment, on the whole it does seem like it’s their chance to put themselves in the shop window for when the summer arrives, so if Chaplow does impress it’s not too much of a stretch to see him in Millwall’s blue next season.

He’s started the loan well at any rate with his performance in his debut, so if he can keep up that standard and continue to impress it’ll be a no brainer really come the season end.
