Mauricio Pochettino has said that he and the club will be doing all they can to have everything set up for next season by July 1st.

Speaking to saintsfc and explaining that his almost four months at Southampton have been the most intense experience he has had in football, he also talked about plans for next season.

‘We have one game left, and that will be very important. However, on Sunday it will be four months that we’ve been here, and we’ve all improved a lot, learned a lot and we’ve had new experiences. These four months have been the most intense I’ve had in football.’

Poch explains that over the summer he’ll be travelling back and forth from Barcelona as his kids don’t finish school until June 20th, but he’ll obviously also be having a few days off.

‘We’re going to start looking at our goals for next season, hopefully we’ll have everything set up for next season ahead of July 1st. We want to know exactly which signings are going to be available to us, it may be difficult to do that by July 1st, but we’re going to try our hardest.’

Good to hear Poch wants to get a march on pre season training so any new players have as long as possible to bed in with the style of the team and their colleagues, but as he explains Southampton can do all they can but that doesn’t mean other parties will move with the same speed to get deals sorted.
