Morgan Schneiderlin is hoping to cap a happy week and season by taking all three points against Stoke this weekend.

Speaking to saintsfc after picking up two Player of the Season Awards, Schneiderlin said for the final game of the season it was the chance for the players to give the fans something back.

‘We know what Stoke are about in terms of unsettling us with set pieces, but we’re prepared for it. We’re stronger than we were four months ago, and we’re going to impose our passing game on them so that they have to run instead of us. It’s going to be a good game, we want to finish the season on a high, and thank the fans with a good league position as we could still finish 10th.’

As for his Awards night successes, he added elsewhere on saintsfc.

‘I’m very happy to win both awards. I want to say thank you to everyone, the players, coaching staff and the chairman as well as the fans, because they always support me whether I have a good season or a bad one. I’m so happy and I want to congratulate all of the players because there are many people who deserve a trophy like my ones.’
