Mauricio Pochettino has said that we didn’t deserve to concede the penalty against Norwich, so justice was done when Boruc kept it out.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, the manager explained.

‘It’s not a penalty. Artur had a great save, we saved one point, and actually the team deserved to get three.’

Pochettino also admitted that the conditions didn’t suit our style of play and although we coped with it, the performance wasn’t the best.

‘I think at a difficult ground such as Norwich, I think my team played a good game in weather conditions but our type of footbal was not the best.’

Commenting more to saintsfc about the game, he added.

‘We leave here semi happy because the penalty decision could have led to us leaving having lost. We were not effective in the chances we created for ourselves and we didn’t deserve to lose. In football, there is an old saying that if you can’t win then you shouldn’t lose and that is what happened today.’
