Southend United have stated that the will keep Ben at Southend for the next fortnight to continue training him while sorting out a possible new loan deal till the end of the month.
This could be good news for Ben as he would then become available to play in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final. Having scored the goal which got Southend through to the final this is no more than he deserves.
Southend said that our young midfielder, has been in impressive form since he linked up with us from the Saints.
The reason for the delay in extending his loan is that he can only have two more months and the final is on May 19th so he would have missed it.
It is good to hear that he has done well and hopefully he will continue in the same vein.
