Marek Saganowski is happy to have joined Southampton permanently.

Saganowski finally completed his move to Saints from Troyes yesterday and he told the official site: ‘I am very happy it is all sorted. I like the city and the club and did not want to change. I have a family with two children and I don’t want to keep moving.’

He went on to add: ‘The fans have been great too.

‘They have made me very welcome and given me a good feeling for this club and now I want to make them happy by scoring more goals and helping us to the Premier League.’

Leicester City and Burnley both showed a late interest in Saganowski, but Southampton completed the move for an undisclosed fee, thought to be around £680,000.
