Marek Saganowski has finally and officially signed for Southampton.

Even the press conference was delayed by over half an hour, but eventually Saganowski joined Saints on a 3 year deal, from Troyes for an undisclosed fee, thought to be around £680,000.

When Marek joined the Saints on loan last season, there was an option to buy the player and gaffer George Burley unsurprisingly decided to take that option, after the Polish striker scored 10 goals in 13 matches.

Saganowski will join up with the players on Monday when the whole squad return for pre-season training.
