Southampton Football Club has announced that it is delighted to welcome Southampton Solent University as their Official University Partner.
Solent’s leading position in sport science education, with their advanced laboratory facilities and renowned football research centre make them an excellent new addition to the Club’s partners.
The university’s sport science staff will work alongside the Club’s experts to help monitor the fitness of the playing squad, including using their laboratories for VO2 max testing, which assists with training programs and match preparation.
With Saints having superb staff and facilities of their own the partnership further demonstrates our willingness to progress further in all aspects of running our club.
