Saints U18 Vs Stockport U18

Saints U18 go into today`s game with Stockport U18 in the FA Youth Cup trying to put last year`s bad memories behind them.

Last year saints U18 got as far as the semi-final when after battling from 2-0 down and getting to extra time saints ended up losing on penalties.

Today`s game was originally meant to be played and Stockport County`s home ground Edgeley Park but due to the pitch being so badly water logged County agreed to have the match switched to saints training ground Staplewood.

So saints with the unexpected home advantage will be looking to advance to the next stage of a competition that they have become accustom to doing pretty well in over the last 2-3 years.

There will be a full match review here on Vital Saints after the match which kicks off at 1pm today

  • Don’t know what it’s been like in the Sunny South but it has been a really sodden couple of weeks up in Cheshire. Our pitch is of course trampled on by Sale Sharks and is an absolute mess. No surrpise the match is been played amongst the palm trees and parasols of Dorset.
