George’s Prost’s Southampton youngsters defeated Costa Rican side Deportivo Saprissa in their opening group A game of the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup.

A brace from Lloyd James and one from Jake Thomson earned the Saints a 3-1 win.

Unfortunately, Jamie White suffered damaged cruciate ligaments the day before the tournament started and will be out for around 6-8 months.
